?Newcastle's push for promotion back to the Premier League will begin away to Fulham on Friday, August 5.
The Magpies were relegated to the Championship after a disappointing season but Rafael Benitez is targeting an immediate return to the top flight and will be looking to make a winning start to the campaign when they travel to west London in the curtain-raiser.
Their first home game is against Huddersfield Town on Saturday, August 13, while they face play-off runners-up Sheffield Wednesday on St Stephen's Day.
The new season begins in earnest on Saturday, August 6 when Norwich face Blackburn at Ewood Park, while Roberto Di Matteo's tenure at Aston Villa will begin with a trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday, August 7.
Rotherham will visit Villa Park the following week before Huddersfield travel to the ground three days later, while Sheffield Wednesday are due to make the trip to Carrow Road to face the Canaries on the second weekend.
