No action against Agbonlahor

Gabriel Agbonlahor will not face any action following an internal investigation into his conduct.

Aston Villa suspended the player pending the outcome of an internal investigation after he was caught smoking a shisha pipe while on holiday in Dubai during the recent international break.

Caretaker manager Eric Black told reporters that he took the decision to suspend Agbonlahor because he did not want anything to 'distract the players' during their relegation fight.

Following an investigation, however, the club has confirmed that they will be taking no action against the striker.

"Aston Villa Football Club has completed its investigation into Gabby Agbonlahor's trip to Dubai over the international break. The club will be taking no further action," the club tweeted.
