Connections of Special Appeal have decided not to appeal the result of the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown.
The Irish challenger looked to be in with every chance of victory until he was badly hampered by eventual winner Sire De Grugy at the final fence. Stewards called on enquiry but decided not to reverse the placings.
Trainer Henry de Bromhead considered appealing the decision but they have decided against it, believing it would be difficult to overturn the stewards' verdict.
"We're not going to appeal. The advice we got was that we didn't have a good enough chance to get the result," he said.
"It's disappointing because most people believe the best horse on the day was taken out of the race and didn't get it."
