Jack McGrath is closing in on a return for Ulster as he continues his recovery from a back injury.
McGrath was named in the starting XV for the Guinness PRO14 clash against Glasgow Warriors earlier this month, only to be withdrawn after sustaining an injury during the warm-up.
He subsequently sat out Monday's 57-14 win in Zebre but the prop has returned to training and could be available for selection within the next couple of weeks.
Tom O'Toole has also returned to training following his ankle injury and his progress will be monitor in the coming days.
Louis Ludik, meanwhile, is following the return to play protocols after sustaining a concussion in the win over Cardiff on November 2.
Angus Curtis (knee), Rob Baloucoune (hamstring), and Will Addison (back) remain sidelined, with James Hume undergoing treatment on the groin injury he sustained against Dragons.
