West Ham cannot afford to lose Dimitri Payet in the January transfer window, captain Mark Noble has said.
Payet has been linked with a move away from the London Stadium and did little to diffuse the speculation when he admitted his desire to play in the Champions League.
The France international scored 15 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions during his debut season in the Premier League and, while he has not hit the same heights this year, Noble believes it would hurt the club were he to leave.
"You never know what happens in football. I'm pretty sure Dimi doesn't want to come out and say too much," he told Sky Sports News HQ.
"I would be shocked to see him go before the end of January. I'm pretty sure it would have to be a healthy bid to get him away from us.
"Can we afford to lose him? No, not really, because he is one of the best players in the world at the minute."
