O'Brien gets the nod against All Blacks

?Joe Schmidt has kept faith with the majority of the team that claimed an historic win over the All Blacks in Chicago for Saturday's rematch at the Aviva Stadium.

Jordi Murphy suffered a serious injury in the 40-29 win at Soldier Field and his place in the back row has been handed to Sean O'Brien, who made his return in last weekend's 52-21 defeat of Canada.

Schmidt had to choose between O'Brien and Josh van der Flier for the number seven jersey and he has opted to go with the former, who was a standout performer when the two sides last met at the Aviva Stadium in 2013.Van der Flier will provide cover from the bench.

Having recorded a first-ever win over the All Blacks, Schmidt has resisted the temptation to make changes to the side that started in Chicago, meaning Peter O'Mahony and Iain Henderson miss out, although the latter is likely to see some action after being named on the bench as Ultan Dillane has been ruled out through injury.

O'Brien will start in the back row alongside CJ Stander and Jamie Heaslip with Donnacha Ryan and Devin Toner named in the second row. Jack McGrath, Rory Best and Tadhg Furlong return in the front row.

Despite impressing against Canada, Keith Earls and Garry Ringrose have not made the cut with Simon Zebo and Andrew Trimble starting on the wing and Rob Kearney taking his place at full-back.

Jared Payne and Robbie Henshaw are retained in the centre as Jonathan Sexton returns to partner Conor Murray in the half-back. On the bench Paddy Jackson comes in for Joey Carberry.

Ireland (XV v New Zealand): R Kearney; A Trimble, R Henshaw, J Payne, S Zebo; J Sexton, C Murray; J McGrath, R Best, T Furlong; D Toner, D Ryan, CJ Stander, S O’Brien, J Heaslip.

Replacements: S Cronin, C Healy, F Bealham, I Henderson, J van der Flier, K Marmion, P Jackson, G Ringrose.
