Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill and assistant manager Roy Keane have finally put pen to paper on their new contracts with the Football Association of Ireland.
Prior to the start of Euro 2016 the FAI announced that O'Neill, assistant manager Roy Keane and coaches Steve Guppy, Seamus McDonagh and Steve Walford had all agreed to carry on for the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign, but it subsequently emerged that they had yet to sign the contracts.
No explanation was given as to why there was a delay in finalising the extension but, speaking at the squad announcement for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Moldova, O'Neill confirmed they had finally signed their new contracts.
"I have signed a new deal. It was never an issue. Roy and the backroom staff have followed suit. We're delighted," O'Neill told his press conference.
