Malachy O'Rourke is to remain in charge of the Monaghan senior footballers for a further three years.
O'Rourke has been at the helm for the last four years and in his time in charge, Monaghan have won two Ulster SFC titles as well as titles in Division Two and Three of the Allianz Football League.
The Farney County endured a disappointing summer as they were beaten by Donegal in the Ulster SFC semi-final replay before losing to Longford in the second round of the All-Ireland qualifiers.
Despite the disappointing season, O'Rourke announced last month that he would be remaining as manager for 2017 and the Monaghan County Board ratified his extension at a meeting on Tuesday.
