One-match ban for McGee

Neil McGee has been hit with a one-match ban following the ugly scenes that marred the Allianz Football League clash between Kerry and Donegal.

McGee was involved in an incident with Kerry forward Alan Fitzgerald in the early stages of the game at Austin Stack Park with the latter sent-off for striking.

However, after viewing television replays of the incident the Central Competitions Control Committee has recommended a one-match ban for McGee, which will see him ruled out of Sunday's game against Roscommon.

Both counties also face fines of €7,500 but they have the option of appealing the decision, while Donegal could seek a meeting with the Central Hearings Committee regarding McGee's punishment.
