Pato delights in 'dream move'

Brazilian completes Chelsea deal

Alexandre Pato has expressed his delighted at sealing a "dream" move to Chelsea.

The 26-year-old former AC Milan striker joins the Blues on loan from Brazilian club Corinthians.

"I am so happy to sign for Chelsea," Pato told the London outfit's official website. "It is a dream for me.

"I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know my new team-mates and cannot wait to play.

"I thank Chelsea for their support and hope I can repay this faith to the club and its fans."

Having scored 63 goals in 150 appearances for Milan, Pato returned to his native country in January 2013, after a string of injury problems led to him falling down the pecking order at the Serie A giants.

Pato made his last appearance for the Brazil national team in 2012, holding 10 goals from 27 caps.

He is set to depart to Chelsea, currently 13th in the Premier League, at the end of the season.
