Payet: I am staying at West Ham

Dimitri Payet has assured West Ham fans that he has no plans to leave the club.

After an impressive debut season in the Premier League, Payet was rewarded with a new contract which ties him to the London club until the summer of 2021.

He carried his good form into Euro 2016, scoring vital goals in France's wins over Romania and Albania, and his impressive performances led to speculation that he could leave West Ham in the summer.

However, the 29-year-old is very happy at West Ham and has no desire to leave the club anytime soon.

"I've heard about all the interest and I'm flattered. But I love West Ham," Payet told the Sun.

"We had a fantastic season and I can't wait to play in the Olympic Stadium.

"I'm 100 per cent staying at West Ham, I love the club. I can tell the Hammers fans that."
