The agent of Arsenal striker Lucas Perez is 'hopeful' the Spaniard will rejoin Deportivo La Coruna before the end of the transfer window.
The 28-year-old, who joined Arsenal from Depor last summer for £12.7m, was not part of the Gunners' 18-man squad for the Premier League opener against Leicester City on Friday.
Perez, who started only two Premier League matches for Arsene Wenger's side last season, is frustrated at his bit-part role at the Emirates Stadium and described the decision to hand new signing Alexandre Lacazette his number nine shirt as "the last straw".
Perez's agent, Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle, has urged Arsenal to accept Depor's offer to buy back the player, who scored 17 goals in 36 league games in his only full season for his hometown club in 2015-16.
"I think the £10.9m [€12m) that Deportivo La Coruna have offered Arsenal is a great deal," he told Sky Sports News.
"Deportivo received £12.7m [€14m] when they sold him to them last summer.
"They are giving everything to make this transfer possible. Lucas wants to play but he has a contract with Arsenal. I am hopeful an agreement can be reached."
