Petit Mouchoir produced a stunning display to beat red-hot favourite Nichols Canyon and take the Ryanair Hurdle.
Trained by Henry de Bromhead, the 6/1 shot for this Grade One contest took up all the running early on with the 2/5 favourite Nichols Canyon content to stay close behind in second place.
Ridden by Ruby Walsh, the favourite closed the gap and both jumped the second last together but Petit Mouchoir, ridden by Bryan Cooper, jumped it superbly and surged clear.
Nichols Canyon had no answer to the injection of pace and Petit Mouchoir cruised to a huge seven-length victory.
Nichols Canyon held on for second place with Ivanovich Gorbatov claiming third.
