Poch focused on Tottenham

Mauricio Pochettino has assured Tottenham fans that he is focused on his role at the north London club amid reports linking him with Real Madrid.

The Spanish club have enjoyed two wins under caretaker boss Santiago Solari following the sacking of Julen Lopetegui but they are keen to appoint a permanent manager with Pochettino high on their wish-list.

It has been reported that Pochettino turned down an offer of £15million-a-year to move to the Santiago Bernabeu and has now moved to distance himself away from the Madrid rumours.

“I am so focused in my job at Tottenham, a rumour appears every day," he told his press conference on Thursday.

"The most important thing is that people need to know that I am focused in Tottenham. I am so responsible with my job, our fans need to know that I am focused in Tottenham working so hard to help the club achieve what we want.

“Rumour after rumour always happen not only at Tottenham but at all the teams and you can’t do anything.”

Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham travel to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday, 10 November live on BT Sport 1 on the eir sport pack [kick-off 5.30pm]. Subscribe here
