Pochettino has faith in Vorm

Mauricio Pochettino is confident Michel Vorm will prove an able deputy for the injured Hugo Lloris.

Lloris has been ruled out for up to four weeks as a result of the hamstring injury he sustained in the 1-1 draw with Everton last week and his place in the team will go to Vorm.

The Dutch goalkeeper featured during Spurs' pre-season campaign and Pochettino is happy to be in a position to be able to call on him in Lloris' absence.

"We trust in Michel and he is doing well. In the pre-season from day one he was the first option keeper and he played a lot of friendly games so he is ready to compete," Pochettino told his weekly press conference.

"He is a keeper with a lot of experience in the Premier League and in international football. There is no doubt about his quality.

"The good thing is that Lloris only has a minor injury and he will be with the team very soon."
