Mauricio Pochettino confirmed Harry Kane has twisted his ankle following his side’s 1-0 win over Sunderland at White Hart Lane.
The England striker, scored the decisive goal of the game when he finished from close-range after Deli Alli found him at the back-post with an intelligent header.
Spurs created numerous chances throughout the tie and were kept at bay with a fine display from Blackcats goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
Speaking to BBC sport, Pochettino also confirmed Mousa Dembele and Eric Dier were not seriously injured, despite going down injured in the latter stages.
"Mousa Dembele and Eric Dier are not a big issue - just cramps. Harry Kane twisted his ankle and now we need to know about the injury. We need to wait until tomorrow." he said.
The former Southampton manager also admitted that the win over Sunderland somewhat made up for his side’s defeat in the Champions League midweek.
"Sometimes it's difficult. In the end it was fair, we fought a lot and tried to score. I'm happy with the three points and it takes away the feeling from losing against Monaco,” admitted the Argentinian.
"I want to create chances and play well - sometimes you need a lot of chances to score. Today we always tried to go forward. We feel disappointed because we created a lot of chances in the first half."
Tottenham will look to bounce back in the Champions League when they travel to Russia to face CSKA Moscow on the 27th of September.
