Mauricio Pochettino says his Tottenham side are looking forward to testing themselves against "the best team in the world" Real Madrid.
Tottenham beat Apoel Nicosia 3-0 in Cyprus on Tuesday thanks to Harry Kane's hat-trick, while Real overcame Borussia Dortmund 3-1 at Signal Iduna Park.
The results mean the sides have an identical record in Group H with two wins from two matches, six goals scored and just the one goal conceded.
Spurs, who finished third in their Champions League group last season behind Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen, have now netted six goals in this year's competition from just eight shots on target.
And Pochettino is looking forward to the back-to-back fixtures against Zinedine Zidane's team on 17 October in Madrid and 1 November at Wembley, as Tottenham seek to progress to the Champions League knockout stages for the first time since 2010-11.
"When you are going to play against the best team in the world - because I think they are the best today and in the last two seasons - you never know [if you are at their level]," the Argentine said.
"We will be very motivated to play against them. We know very well their quality. It's a big challenge for us to see which is our level, and if we can compete at this type of level.
"Both games will be very important to see which level we are and I will tell you after the games if we are. But I think we will be very motivated to play against the best team in the world."
Kane, who netted his sixth hat-trick of 2017 with his three-goal salvo against the Cypriots, says he feels at the top of his game after 11 goals in September, and 34 goals in 30 games this calendar year.
"I've got to keep doing what I'm doing," the 24-year-old said.
"I'm still young, I'm feeling good, I'm feeling sharp so every game now I've got to try and do the same, try and help the team, run hard for the team and try and get the goals.
"That's six points out of two games and we've just got to push forward. We've got Madrid next and we'll look forward to that one.''
