Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino insists Jose Mourinho is still one of the best managers in the game.
Mourinho, the self-proclaimed Special One, has enjoyed success at every club he has managed but he has come under fire on the back of Manchester United's stuttering start to the season.
United have only one win in their last eight Premier League matches and Pochettino will be hoping to inflict further misery on Mourinho when he takes his Tottenham team to Old Trafford on Sunday.
Despite his struggles, Pochettino believes Mourinho much be given time to prove himself at United.
"For me, he is the Special One and will always be the Special One. For me, he was a reference when I started my career at Espanyol. He was always very kind to me and opened his door," Pochettino told reporters ahead of Tottenham's trip to Old Trafford.
"I always assess my colleagues and try to be objective - I really believe he is one of the best.
"Sometimes you struggle a bit - it's not easy to arrive at a new club, set up ideas and philosophy but, for me, he was, is and will be one of best managers in football history."
