Power and Faugheen in Morgiana entries

Champion Hurdle winner Annie Power could make her seasonal bow in Sunday's StanJames.com Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown.

Annie Power has not run since winning the Doom Bar Aintree Hurdle less than a month after her victory at the Cheltenham Festival and she could face up to ten rivals if she gets the go ahead to run at the weekend.

Stable companion Faugheen had been the favourite for the Champion Hurdle until injury brought his season to a premature end and Sunday's race will be his first start since January if he lines up in the Grade One feature.

Willie Mullins is responsible for seven of the ten possible runners with Vroum Vroum Mag, Ivan Grozny, Sempre Medici, Simenon and last year's winner Nichols Canyon also entered in the race.

Apple's Jade was second in the Triumph Hurdle when in the care of Mullins but she has since switched to Gordon Elliott's yard and she could have her second run for her new handler as she bids to bounce back from her surprise defeat at Down Royal earlier this month.

Triumph Hurdle winner Ivanovich Gorbatov has stood his ground for Joseph O'Brien, while the Gavin Cromwell-trained Jer's Girl completes the entries.
