Power "feels comfortable" on PGA Tour

Waterford golfer Seamus Power says he feels comfortable playing on the PGA Tour after making the cut for the third time in four tournaments.

Power, in his rookie season on the main tour, started Sunday's final round of the OHL Classic at Mayakoba in a tie for fourth, but dropped 24 places down the leaderboard following a final-round 76.

The 29-year-old hit a triple-bogey seven on his opening hole, and also bogeyed the fourth, 14th and 18th holes, with his only birdie coming on the par-five seventh.

The East Tennessee State University graduate, who competed in the Web.com Tour last year and represented Ireland in the Rio Olympics, won a full Tour place after finishing inside the top 25 of the Web.com Tour following his win at the United Leasing and Finance Championship in May.

"I guess I feel a little more comfortable than I thought I would this early. I’ve seen a lot of the guys between college golf, Web.com, that sort of thing, so I know some of the guys out here," he said.

"I have kind of an inner belief I can play,"

Pat Perez hit a final round 67 to claim the OHL Classic title, beating over overnight leader Gary Woodland by two shots, with Scotland’s Russell Knox third.

Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell, the defending champion, hit a final-round 68 to finish in a tie for 24th.
