West Brom moved joint-top of the Premier League table with a 1-0 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor.
The opener finally came with 19 minutes remaining with substitute Hal Robson-Kanu finishing home a scrappy effort. A hopeful ball was nodded on by Matthew Philips for Robson-Kanu to to move his way past James Tarkowski and slide home at the near post.
Robson-Kanu went from hero to villain as he saw red after 83 minutes. The goalscorer was given his marching orders for throwing his arm into the face of Matt Lowton as he chased a long ball. It mattered little as the Baggies held on to go level on points at the summit with Manchester United.
Two second-half goals saw Watford take three away points against Bournemouth with a 2-0 win at the Vitality Stadium.
Huge Watford pressure paid off with just over a quarter of an hour remaining. Nathaniel Chalobah fed Andre Gray down the right to pull back into the box where Richarlison was there to finish home his first goal for the club.
Etienne Capoue made it two, with four minutes remaining. Gray fired in a stinging shot, with Asmir Begovic beating it away and the ball falling to Capoue to fire home with a low shot to secure the three points, and leave Watford sitting pretty in third in the table. Bournemouth, meanwhile, are 17th and without a point to their name.
A dominant Leicester took all three points at the King Power Stadium as they saw off Brighton 2-0.
The Foxes took the lead inside the opening minute and never looked back from there. Riyad Mahrez weaved his way into the box before unleashing a low effort on goal, which Matthew Ryan parried into the path of Shinji Okazki to finish home.
Leicester doubled their advantage through Harry Maguire before the hour. Mahrez supplied a cross to the back post where Maguire was there to head home; there was a touch of hand ball as it went towards the net, but the referee waved it on.
The win moves the Foxes into the top half of the table in ninth, with Brighton in the drop zone in 18th and without their first points of the season.
Liverpool recorded their first league win of the season as they edged to a 1-0 victory over an improved Crystal Palace at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp's side were headed for a second consecutive league draw,
before Sadio Mane finished past Wayne Hennessy in the
73rd minute, for his second goal of the season.
Palace will rue missed opportunities when the game was level, but boss Frank De Boer will be happy with their improved performance following a 3-0 defeat to Huddersfield last weekend.
Christian Benteke, who scored two for Palace at Anfield last season, should have found the net against his former club late on, but fired over from eight yards out after Ruben Loftus-Cheek's pass picked the Belgian striker out.
Liverpool, now fourth in the table, will look to build on their first win of the campaign when they host Arsenal on 27 August, while Palace, 19th, will look to register their first victory of the campaign as they face Swansea next weekend.
Ten-man
West Ham came from 2-0 down to draw level with Southampton, but were denied a point as Charlie
Austin dispatched a late penalty to hand the home side a 3-2 win at St Mary's.
The Saints broke the deadlock in
the 11th minute
as Manolo Gabbiadini slotted past Joe Hart - the first goal the home fans have seen in their last six games.
Slaven Bilic's Hammers were dealt a massive blow when was Marko Arnautovic was sent off for elbowing Jack Stephens, before going 2-0 down, as Dusan Tadic converted his spot-kick following Jose Fonte's late challenge on Steve Davis.
But against the odds, former Manchester United player Javier Hernandez got the London outfit back into the tie, with two goals either side of half-time.
The game appeared to be heading for a draw; however, the hosts were awarded a penalty when Pablo Zabaleta bundled over Maya Yoshida, leaving substitute Austin to coolly slot home for his first goal since November.
Southampton move up to fifth in table, with West Ham rock bottom and pointless.
