Tony Pulis is keen to keep hold of Saido Berahino and is hopeful the striker will remain at West Brom beyond the end of the transfer window.
For a second successive year Berahino's future has featured heavily in the transfer rumours with Stoke keen to sign the striker before the August 31 deadline.
The Potters’ hopes of landing the player were boosted when Berahino rejected West Brom's offer of a new four-year deal, only for West Brom to reject their £20million bid.
West Brom will not allow Berahino to leave unless they have a replacement lined up and Pulis has warned it will take an 'unbelieveable' offer to convince the club to part company with the England Under-21 international.
"Nobody is more keen for Saido to stay than me. He is forming a good partnership with Salomon Rondon," Pulis told reporters.
"Saido's got 10 days to go and we can start talking about football again fingers crossed.
"As far as I am concerned and the board is concerned - Jeremy [Peace] and the Chinese - unless someone comes in with an unbelievable offer and we have a replacement, Saido won't be going."
Stoke manager Mark Hughes has made no secret of his desire to sign the 23-year-old but admits their pursuit of the player has stalled.
"It is in the public domain that we have made bids and we are where we are," Hughes told reporters on Friday.
"They have had a change in ownership and we haven’t moved forward since then. They are looking to improve their group too so maybe their attentions are elsewhere."
