Raiola unhappy with Klopp over Balotelli

Mario Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola has accused Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp of not showing the striker respect.

Balotelli returned to Liverpool at the start of the season following a loan spell at AC Milan but Klopp made it clear to the Italian that he was no part of his plans and warned him to look for a new club.

The striker eventually secured a free transfer to Nice on deadline day to bring to an end his miserable spell at Liverpool.

Raiola has hit out at Klopp for denying Balotelli the opportunity to play for the club in any of their pre-season fixtures.

“At the end of the day, he was a player of Liverpool and you need to treat him with respect. And he didn’t do that,” Raiola said.

“Mario asked several times to have a friendly match. You can train all you want but, at the end of the day, you need 90 minutes, you need a friendly. He never considered him for 60 days.

“I’m not judging him as a trainer - I don’t like him as a trainer at all - but you have to let him play.”

Despite being unhappy with Klopp's treatment of Balotelli, Raiola will not stand in the way if any of his players want to move to Liverpool in the future.

“If Klopp wants a player that I represent and he wants to talk to me, good,” the agent said.

“I will never be standing in the middle of the interest of my player but it doesn’t mean I have to shut up when I see things are not being done in a good way."
