Randolph completes Boro move

Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Darren Randolph has completed his move to Middlesbrough for a fee of £5million.

The 30-year-old leaves West Ham after making 22 Premier League appearances last season, and pens a four-year contract with Garry Monk's side.

Randolph's starting place for the Hammers received a knock-back after boss Slaven Bilic signed Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart on a season-long loan.

The Bray native becomes Monk's sixth Summer signing as Boro look for an immediate return the Premier League following relegation last season.

"I'm delighted to get it all signed and completed," Randolph told Middlesbrough's club website.

"Arriving here and seeing the facilities, it's definitely a Premier League club. I want to come here and get the club back to where it belongs and be part of something special."
