Ranieri and Aguero claim April awards

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has been named Premier League manager of the month for April.

The Foxes recorded three victories and a draw during the month to open up an unassailable lead at the top of the table and they were eventually crowned champions after Tottenham's draw with Chelsea on May 2.

Ranieri, who also picked up the accolade in November and March, beat off competition from Manchester City’s Manuel Pellegrini, Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to the award.

Manchester City's Sergio Aguero was named Player of the month after scoring seven goals in five top-flight matches, included a hat-trick against Chelsea.

It is the fourth time Aguero has won the award.
