Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri hopes to have Kasper Schmeichel available for the busy Christmas and New Year period.
Schmeichel has not played since undergoing surgery on the fractured hand he sustained during his side's Champions League game at FC Copenhagen in early November.
The Foxes have conceded seven goals in Schmeichel's absence to leave the Premier League champions are currently just two points above the relegation zone and Ranieri is keen to have his number one goalkeeper available.
"I hope before Christmas Day he'll be ready. It depends on him and the surgeon but his fitness is getting better. He is working on a normal training session, separately," Ranieri told reporters on Thursday.
"I shake his hand and he always gives me his left hand but today I said give me his right and shook it - gently - not like (Marcin) Wasilewski."
