Claudio Ranieri is confident Leonardo Ulloa will play for Leicester again after failing to secure a move in the January transfer window.
Ulloa handed in a transfer request after starting just one Premier League game for the champions this season and on Monday he accused Ranieri of betrayal and vowed never to play for the club again.
Sunderland tried to land the Argentine striker on transfer deadline day but Leicester refused to sell the player to a relegation rival, turning down a £7.5million offer, leaving the 30-year-old facing an uncertain future at the King Power Stadium.
Ranieri, however, expects him to play for the club once he has recovered from a thigh injury.
"The situation is a normal situation. We don’t want to sell him. Of course he’s frustrated because he wants to play but he is a good man, professional player, when he’s ready he’ll have the chance to play," Ranieri said.
"There is no issue between us. He will play again. He is a professional, 100 per cent don’t worry. I know he said things when he wanted to push hard, but now it’s okay. I need everybody to fight for Leicester, not for me.
"I don’t know if he could give more because he always gives 120 per cent, he is a fantastic man, he gives everything for Leicester. He is a good teammate and the rest of the team is happy."
