Ranieri urges stars to stay

Big names linked with moves away

Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri has advised his star players to stay with the club for another season at least following their senational Premier League title triumph.

A number of the club's more high profile players, including Riyad Mahrez and N'Golo Kante, have been linked with moves away from the King Power Stadium, but Ranieri has urged them to stay and enjoy Champions League football at Leicester.

"If they are intelligent, they stay with us another year," Ranieri said after the club's 3-1 victory over Everton on Saturday evening.

"They know the Champions League is very difficult. Then after this next experience they can go.

"If they ask me something, I say 'stay with me'. But if somebody comes to me and says 'I'd like to go' then go because I want only happy players with me."

Leicester complete their Premier League campaign with a trip to Ranieri's old club Chelsea next Sunday.
