Leinster centre Garry Ringrose has been ruled out of Ireland’s November internationals against South Africa, Fiji and Argentina.
The 22-year-old is still recovering from the shoulder surgery he underwent in July, and Leinster head coach Leo Cullen confirmed after his side's 34-18 Champions Cup win over Glasgow Warriors on Saturday that the Dubliner will be sidelined for at least another month.
"Garry is still a bit off so he is probably looking at the end of November," Cullen said.
Ireland host South Africa at the Aviva Stadium game 11 November and take on Fiji seven days later, before concluding their Autumn International series against Argentina on 25 November.
Ringrose has won 11 caps for Ireland, making his international debut against Canada in last year's November series, and scoring four tries in the 55-19 victory over the United States Eagles in June.
Ulster centre Jared Payne has also not featured this season after suffering migraines on the Lions tour of New Zealand in the summer.
But Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt will be boosted by the news that Leinster full-back Rob Kearney could return against Ulster at the Kingspan Stadium in Saturday's Pro 14 game.
The 31-year-old suffered a Grade 2 hamstring tear against Cardiff Blues on 9 September but is making better progress in his rehabilitation than expected.
