Nico Rosberg spoke of his "awesome weekend" after his victory at the Singapore GP sent him to the top of the Drivers' Standings.
The Mercedes driver just about held off the fast finish of Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo to win by less than half a second to move eight points clear of his team-mate Hamilton.
"It's been an awesome weekend in Singapore for me, already yesterday with the pole lap, and then today I had a great start in the race," Rosberg told Sky.
"Of course Daniel tried to pull one up on me with the pitstop at the end, we knew it was going to be tight but we got there so I'm very happy.
"The whole car was on the edge, it always is here in Singapore, so it's very satisfying to finish like that."
Hamilton meanwhile lamented his poor weekend at the office.
"Definitely not [a great weekend] but firstly big congratulations to Nico - he drove fantastically all weekend," he said.
"This weekend has been a tricky one for me but I'm just happy to get on the podium and get some points for the team.
"The brakes were way overheating so I had to slow down. Once I did my second or third stop we managed to sort it out.
"It's a lot different to when I was here last year but I'm still in the fight and I'm going to give it everything I've got."
