Danny Rose has put pen to paper on a new contract that will keep him at Tottenham until 2021.
A product of the Leeds United youth academy, Rose moved to Tottenham in July 2007 but he did not make his league debut until April 2010 and he has gone on to make 93 Premier League appearances for the club.
The 26-year-old, who has recently been sidelined by a hamstring injury, follows in the footsteps of Christian Eriksen, Eric Dier and Dele Alli by committing his future to Mauricio Pochettino's side.
“Anything can happen in football but right now, I’m so happy. I’m settled here. I’m slowly turning into a southerner! I’ll be here until I’m 31 and at the moment, I couldn’t wish for anything more than to play for Spurs for the rest of my career," Rose told the club's offical website.
“Everyone knows that the Club is going in the right direction and I’m over the moon that I’ve earned a new contract that will keep me here until I’m an old man!”
He continued: “I don’t want to blow my own trumpet but I feel I’ve played well in the last 18 months and if I’m happy off the pitch, that transfers to the pitch.
"It helps when you are playing with 11 of your friends and under a great manager as well and the environment we train in is top-class.
"It’s just a pain I’m injured at the moment. It was hard listening to the result coming through at Stoke (and not being involved) and hard watching the Champions League game last week as well. The quicker I can get back on the pitch and contribute to the team, the better."
