Danny Rose will see a specialist on Monday to determine the best course of action for his knee injury.
Rose underwent a scan on Thursday after sustaining the injury in a tackle with Billy Jones during Tottenham's 0-0 draw at Sunderland.
It has been reported that he will miss up to four weeks but manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed he will meet with a specialist to discuss his recovery.
“We need to wait until Monday and then we will explain," Pochettino told reporters at his weekly press conference on Friday.
"He is very positive, though. He is in a very good mood but there is no sense to speak about it now.
"After he has seen the specialist, I will update more properly.”
Pochettino issued a positive update on Jan Vertonghen, who is sidelined with an ankle ligament injury.
Vertonghen has started running and could be available in 'two to three weeks'.
