Southampton are to appeal the red card shown to Sadio Mane during Saturday's 2-1 Premier League win at Stoke.
Mane was shown a straight red card in injury time at the Britannia Stadium after colliding with Stoke's Erik Pieters.
Referee Lee Mason ruled that Mane had caught Pieters in mid-air but replays appeared to show that he had his eyes on the ball as he made the challenge.
Manager Ronald Koeman disagreed with the decision and the club have now lodged an appeal.
"Southampton FC can confirm we have lodged an appeal against the red card shown to Sadio Mane at Stoke on Saturday," the club tweeted on Monday.
