Sakho to return for Hammers

Diafra Sakho could make his return from injury in West Ham's London derby against Tottenham on Wednesday.

Sakho required surgery after he sustained a thigh injury in the 1-1 draw with West Brom in November but he is back training and is in line to feature when the Premier League title contenders visit Upton Park.

"Diafra has been training well. We are going to decide finally today but he could well be in the squad," manager Slaven Bilic told his pre-match press conference.

Andy Carroll, meanwhile, may have to make do with a place on the bench once again.

The striker has been used as an impact substitute since returning from a hamstring injury last month and Bilic admits he may start on the bench against Tottenham.

"Andy is fit and training hard but has been doing well for us towards the ends of games. It is a difficult decision," Bilic confirmed.
