Sanchez happy to stay at Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez will stay at Arsenal but only if the team has a 'winning mentality'.

Sanchez has 15 months to run on his existing contract at the Emirates but talks on a new deal have stalled amid reports that the Chilean wants in excess of £250,000-a-week.

Chelsea are reportedly keen in signing the 28-year-old in the summer and Arsenal's recent struggles have done little to ease the speculation surrounding his future at the club, but he insists he is happy to remain at Arsenal, providing they challenge for silverware.

"I am happy in London and I hope to finish my contract there. I like to stay in a city and in a team, but in a team that is a winner - that has a winning mentality," Sanchez told Chilean media while on international duty.

"I'm 28 years old, I still have a lot ahead of me. I am a player that takes great care of himself."

Despite Chelsea's reported interest in the striker, manager Arsene Wenger has made it clear that Arsenal will not sell Sanchez to a Premier League rival.
