Schweinsteiger named in United's PL squad
Bastian Schweinsteiger has been named in Manchester United's 25-man Premier League squad.
Schweinsteiger has yet to feature for United this season and manager Jose Mourinho recently suggested that it would be difficult for the 32-year-old to win back his place in the squad.
The former Germany captain still has two years to run on the three-year contract he signed when he joined from Bayern Munich in July 2015 and he has repeatedly stated his desire to fight his way back into the team saying that he "will be ready if the team needs me".
With Paul Pogba, Marouane Fellaini, Morgan Schneiderlin, Ander Herrera and Michael Carrick above him in the pecking order, Schweinsteiger faces a difficult battle but he has been included in the 25-man Premier League squad and he could yet feature for the club should Mourinho decide to give him another chance.
