Waterford will play Kilkenny in Round 2 of the All-Ireland Qualifiers at Semple Stadium on Saturday, 8 July.
The match will be the second game of a double-header in Thurles, with Dublin facing All-Ireland champions Tipperary at 5pm.
Brian Cody's Kilkenny hit 10 wides, but still edged past Limerick 0-20 to 0-17 in Saturday's All Ireland SHC Round 1 Qualifier at Nowlan Park, while while Waterford thrashed Offaly 1-35 to 0-14 at O'Connor Park, Tullamore.
Dublin moved smoothly into the second round with a 2-28 to 1-15 win over 14-man Laois at Parnell Park.
John O'Dwyer and substitute John McGrath netted goals in either half, as Tipperary beat Westmeath 2-18 to 0-15 in Thurles.
Saturday's results set up an intriguing second round of qualifiers, with All-Ireland champions Tipperary, 2015 champions Kilkenny, 2011 National League winners Dublin and 2015 League winners Waterford all in the pot.
