Diego Simeone admits that he will consider the possibility of leaving Atletico Madrid following defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
The rivals from Spain's capital met in the European decider in Milan on Saturday evening, with Real lifting the trophy thanks to a triumph on penalties following a 1-1 draw.
Atletico also lost the 2014 final to Real, a 4-1 extra-time defeat.
"Losing two finals is a failure," said Simeone.
Asked whether he will consider leaving Atletico, the former Argentina midfielder responded: "I am thinking that I have to start thinking.
"It's a logical question for you to ask after a defeat like the one we've suffered.
"We had the chance to become champions; we didn't take that chance. We need to continue working, and I have to think things out on my part. That's what I'm doing now.
"What is clear to me is that nobody remembers the losers. We have to get over this and heal our wounds."
Simeone has been extremely successful with Atletico. As well as reaching two Champions League finals, he has also guided the club to La Liga glory, along with Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup, Europa League, Uefa Super Cup titles.
