Skrtel nearing Liverpool exit

Martin Skrtel's time at Liverpool is nearing an end amid reports that Liverpool have accepted a bid in the region of £5.6million from Fenerbahce.

Skrtel signed a new three-year contract at Anfield last summer, but the 31-year-old fell out of favour following Jurgen Klopp's arrival last October, starting only four games after the turn of the year.

The arrival of Joel Matip from Schalke is likely to limit his chances further and the Slovakia international has accepted his Liverpool career is over.

Despite having offers from Germany and China, Skrtel has opted to move to Fenerbahce with Liverpool accepting an offer from the Turkish club.

The transfer is expected to be completed once Skrtel has returned from Euro 2016.
