Stoke are interesting in signing Saido Berahino from West Brom.
Berahino looks set to leave The Hawthorns this summer after rejecting the club's offer of a new four-year deal, just under a year after he was denied a move to Tottenham.
Stoke have been linked with a number of players in recent weeks but manager Mark Hughes has confirmed the club have tabled a formal offer for the striker and is 'hopeful' the Baggies will agree to the transfer.
"He's a player at another club so I don't really want to comment too much, but it's fair to say we've put bids in," Hughes told Sky Sports News.
"As we stand, those haven't been accepted yet, but we're still hopeful on that one."
Berahino last year threatened to go on strike after West Brom rejected several offers from Tottenham.
