Anthony Stokes has been suspended by Celtic for comments he made on social media at the weekend.
Stokes took to Twitter on Sunday to express his frustration at being left out of the squad for the 3-1 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The striker was unhappy at having to travel north only to sit in the stands and watch on as the club took all three points.
"Buzzing to be brought all the way up to Inverness with the team to sit in the stands today, lovely weather for it too," Stokes tweeted ahead of kick-off.
"Who gives a f*** about wages when you're not playing! It's about playing and contributing, not picking up a wage."
Although he subsequently apologised for the outburst, manager Ronny Delia accused Stokes of showing a 'lack of respect' to his team-mates and warned the comments would be dealt with internally by the club.
It has now been reported that he has been provisionally suspended for being disrespectful to his team-mates and fans.
Stokes has played just twice for Celtic this season with his last appearance coming in the win away to Dundee United on August 22.
