Neil Taylor is set for a spell on the sidelines after fracturing his cheekbone in training.
Taylor was injured during training on Wednesday morning and a visit to the hospital revealed the 27-year-old must undergo surgery to treat the issue.
It is unclear how long Taylor will be out for but he will miss a number of games, including the upcoming fixtures against Arsenal and Liverpool.
News of Taylor's injury will come as a blow to new manager Paul Clement as he looks to guide his club away from the relegation zone.
