The Fighter is coming to eir sport

eir sport have announced details of a new multi-part boxing series which will feature some of Ireland’s best-known fighters.

The Fighter begins on eir sport 1 on Sunday, 24 February and will kick off with an exclusive interview with the IBF Super-Bantamweight World Champion, TJ Doheny.

Hailing from County Laois, Doheny won the IBF Super-Bantamweight title by defeating reigning champion Ryosuke Iwasa, becoming only the second Irishman after Wayne McCullough to win a World Title in Japan.

The MTK Global boxer, who recently defended his title at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York, is undefeated in 21 professional contests and has plans to unify the division in 2019.

The series begins on the 24th February at 8.30pm on eir sport 1.
