Devin Toner has signed a new three-year contract with the IRFU which will tie him to Leinster until at least June 2020.
Toner has made 187 appearances for Leinster since making his debut for the province against the Border Reivers in January 2006 and in his time with the Blues he has won three Heineken Cups, an Amlin Cup and three Pro12 league titles.
He won the first of his 42 Ireland caps in the 20-10 defeat of Samoa in November 2010 and was a member of the team that won the RBS 6 Nations in 2014 and 2015.
His most recent cap came in last weekend's win over Australia at the Aviva Stadium and he is delighted to have committed his future to the IRFU and Leinster.
"I am delighted to have re-signed with the IRFU and Leinster. There is a huge amount of talent coming through at Leinster and it is a really exciting time to be involved with the province," Toner said.
"There is a real opportunity to be successful at both provincial and national level over the coming years and I look forward to playing a part in helping to achieve that success."
Welcoming the news, IRFU Performance Director, David Nucifora, said "Devin is a top class international second row and has grown into a leader for both Ireland and Leinster. His performances for Ireland over the past number of seasons have been outstanding and he continues to show growth and an appetite to develop his game."
