Toure fit to face Kiev

Yaya Toure is in contention to feature against Dynamo Kiev in League last-16 second-leg clash at the Etihad Stadium after recovering from injury.

Toure picked up a heel injury during the course of Manchester City's Capital One Cup final win over Liverpool and missed the Premier League defeat against the same opponents three days later.

He returned to the team for the thrashing of Aston Villa only to aggravate the injury, ruling him out of last weekend's trip to Carrow Road.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini admitted he feared the midfielder was facing a lengthy spell out, but he has returned to training ahead of the Champions League tie.

"Yaya is fit to play tomorrow. He doesn’t have any problem," Pellegrini told his pre-match press conference.

City lead 3-1 after the first leg but Pellegrini is refusing to take anything for granted.

"Tomorrow we put out our strongest squad that we need to win the game, not to play with the other score," Pellegrini added. "So tomorrow we put in the pitch the strongest squad that I think in this moment we can do."
