Toure omitted from City squad

Yaya Toure has been omitted from Manchester City's squad for Tuesday's Champions League play-off first leg against Steaua Bucharest.

Toure did not feature in Saturday's Premier League win over Sunderland and his omission from the 21-man squad for the trip to Romania has cast further doubt over his future at the Etihad Stadium.

Jason Denayer, Eliaquim Mangala, Samir Nasri and Wilfried Bony have also been left out of the squad, while Joe Hart has travelled despite being dropped for the 2-1 defeat of Sunderland.

Manchester City squad to face Steaua Bucharest: Hart, Caballero, Gunn, Sagna, Zabaleta, Otamendi, Stones, Adarabioyo, Kolarov, Clichy, Angelino, Fernando, Fernandinho, Delph, Nolito, Silva, Navas, De Bruyne, Sterling, Iheanacho, Aguero.
