Toure omitted from CL squad
Yaya Toure has been omitted from Manchester City's Champions League squad.
Toure has yet to feature for City in the Premier League this season but he did play the full 90 minutes of his side's Champions League play-off second-leg tie against Steaua Bucharest.
Under UEFA rules, teams must have eight home grown players if they name a 25-man squad for European competitions.
However, following Joe Hart's move to Torino, City do not have eight home grown players available, resulting in Pep Guardiola to submit a 21-man squad for the Champions League.
The reduced squad means Toure has missed out on selection, casting further doubt over his future at the Etihad Stadium.
