Trio sign new Munster deals

Stephen Archer, Dan Goggin and Liam O'Connor have all signed two-year contract extensions with Munster, the club has confirmed.

Prop Archer has been a mainstay of the provinces’s starting XV over the past three seasons and, after making his debut back in 2009, is one of just eleven players to have over 200 times in the famous red jersey.

The 31-year-old has also played for the senior international side on two occasions.

Versatile back Goggin is another key member of the squad, with seven tries to his name from his 55 Munster caps to date.

The new deal marks a turnaround in fortunes for prop O’Connor who missed an entire year of rugby through injury in 2018. The 24-year-old has made 26 appearances in the red since making his debut against Stade Francais back in January 2016.

The Cork native has showed great resilience in returning from a long-term injury that saw him miss out on a year of rugby in 2018.

The club has also announced that Academy trio Liam Coombes, Alex McHenry and Jack O’Sullivan will be joining the senior ranks from next season.
