Un De Sceaux heading to Ascot

Un De Sceaux has been declared for Saturday's Berkshire Community Foundation Clarence House Chase at Ascot.

Willie Mullins' nine-year-old defeated Sire De Grugy in a thrilling renewal of the Tingle Creek Chase in early December and connections have decided to send him to Ascot to bid for back-to-back wins in the Clarence House Chase.

Sire De Grugy will bypass the Grade One in order to give him more time to recover from his run in the Desert Orchid Chase at Kempton – he unseated Jamie Moore early on but raced alongside the rest of the field -, but trainer Gary Moore will still be represented by Ar Mad, who was fourth behind Un De Sceaux in the Tingle Creek.

Paul Nicholls has given Dodging Bullets the green light to run, while Philip Hobbs will saddle Royal Regatta.

The Kerry Lee-trained Top Gamble and Eastlake from Jonjo O'Neill's yard complete the field.
