Valseur Lido is all but certain to miss the remainder of the season due to injury.
Owned by Gigginstown House Stud, Valseur Lido moved to Henry de Bromhead's yard in the summer and made a good start under his new trainer as he won the JNwine.com Champion Chase at Down Royal.
He followed it up with a fourth-place finish in the Lexus Chase and had been expected to head to Cheltenham for a tilt at either the Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup or the Ryanair Chase.
However, he has suffered an injury which looks set to bring his season to an end.
"He's at the equine hospital now. As injuries go it's not that bad, we don't think," Gigginstown's racing manager Eddie O'Leary said.
"However, he'll definitely miss the rest of the season, I'd have thought."
Valseur Lido's injury comes just days after Gigginstown announced the Don Cossack's retirement.
